It's probably time I tell you how big an impact Blogilates/Cassey Ho has been to my life. She is not just a 'latest fave' of mine - she's been a daily inspiration for me. She's a 'certified fitness instructor, creator of POP Pilates', and uploads Pilates workout videos onto YouTube. She creates a monthly workout calendar and emails it to all Blogilates fans at the beginning of every month. Until then, it's up to us to commit ourselves to get down onto our mat and do her daily list of videos. So far I've been doing it everyday for almost 2 months now. Yay! *Cheers!*
One of her mottos is 'eat clean'. I'm afraid I've been having trouble sticking to that one...will try to eat clean tomorrow! In fact, this afternoon I watched a chain of horrific animal cruelty videos on YouTube (eeeeekkkk!) Hence, I've now decided to incorporate as many vegan meals into my diet as much as possible. Have already figured my way around substituting my proteins....gonna go buy some lentils tomorrow. (Most legumes take too long to prepare and cook...) Anyway! If you guys already know Blogilates - good on ya! Otherwise, check out her YouTube channel and website!

After many years of indulging myself with the 1st and 2nd mvt of Scottish Fantasy every once in a while, I've finally picked up the score and attempted a few notes. So far it's Day 2 and I am loving it more hour x hour. I don't think it's terribly hard in terms of technical difficulty, but mmm, it's always the musicality bit that makes us think again hey? (*smile*)
Anyway! Am determined to play this piece well with personal satisfaction! Hopefully I'll get to play it soon! Yay! PS. Out of all the recordings I've heard of this piece, I'm in love with Midori's interpretation with Zubin Mehta conducting the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (btw, it's also the first recording of this piece I heard 10 years ago.) So I was casually scrolling through my FaceBook page, and then I came across this video (posted below.) I was wondering, #WorldsToughestJob? Hmmm....let's see what it is. Watch it and you'll know why I'm about to say: Thank you Mum! (and Dad!) I love you both very much! |
