Last Wednesday morning, I saw more than just Shanghai dumplings on a lunch date with Grandma and mum. Walking from Queens Plaza to Queen St Mall, Bridge End, I came across a food market that very much resembled London's Borough Market - paellas, colourful produce, reds and greens, honey, French treats (macarons!), blooming flowers, fresh air, blue sky and a river right in front.

Was so lucky to see Carlos Acosta and Tamara Rojo dance the opening night. I've sincerely fallen in love with their passion and dedication for the arts. Every one of their movements really touched corners of my emotions. I've already treasured every memory I can recall from their performance that night.
By the time it ended at 10pm, I was addicted to a couple of things. Tamara Rojo and Prokofiev's score. Loving Tamara Rojo basically meant endless YouTube views of Rojo talking, dancing, and pretty much 'forever lasting with perfection' pirouettes.
Prokofiev stalking meant getting the full piano score of Romeo and Juliet, Op.64 and attempting to play it. Yet sometimes I wish I didn't over-estimate myself. So now I've humbled back slightly to his Ten Pieces for Piano of Romeo and Juliet, Op.75. Time to get on a plane now back to Brisbane and touch a piano as soon as possible!
Saw the sushi class in action! Really wanted to be a part of it but the next class was at 3.30pm. Couldn't wait that long, so we ended up buying lunch from the freshly made Japanese food fridge. There was a huge variety of Japanese food - from white rice sushi to brown rice sushi, chicken to prawn, chirashi to sashimi, and sesame ice-cream to strawberry cheesecake. I ended up having a chirashi (which was really the leftover bits of sushi all packed into one plate) and seaweed salad with sesame oil. I haven't had it in a long time! It's one of my mum's favourite side dishes and mine too! Love the punches of spice give by the slices of chilli too. After lunch, we went around the grocery store to buy some ingredients for beef udon lunch and gyoza dinner, plus dried seaweed - a childhood favourite snack.
